Make Money OnLine With Social Marketing- You Can Really Make Money by Chatting!

Posted by Lasam | Social Marketing | Sunday 7 February 2010 2:36 pm

There are lots of people spending lots of time chatting online. You can turn all this chatter into Cash. Teenagers sit at the movies texting and checking in with their buddies on Facebook. For the over thirty crowd this may seem a little extreme but the trend isn’t slowing down. All this chatter can create a steady stream of traffic for you.

If you have a website that you would like to create traffic for or a product that you are selling online then social marketing can be gold mine and a corner stone of your marketing strategy. It is particularly effective for those of you who enjoy chatting on line and connecting with lots of people. If this is natural for you then you will enjoy marketing with chatter. Your hours in the chat room will no longer be a waist of time but an opportunity to promote your product.

Here are some Quick Tips

Send Out Notices to Your Mailing List regrading Special Deals

This is old news. Everybody uses their mailing list to create traffic. The problem is that everyone including me is tired of getting junk in their mail box. You must learn to use this tool effectively. Only send out a blitz when you have something really great to offer. Also include something for free. People love free tips, free advice or free product offers. If your customers consistently open their mail and like what they get then they will keep opening it. If not you will soon be sent to the spam folder.

Subscribe to Chat Rooms and Forums that are related to Your Product or Web Site

If you are marketing dog toys then you need to be chatting with the dog lovers. The more you can socialize in these groups, the more you are going to build your customer base. Join as many groups as you can and chat regularly.

Start your own Blog or Join One

There are lots of Blog tools online. It is best to use a Blog area that already has traffic such as Google groups. Use Dog Blogs as a search term and you will find plenty of options to promote your doggy widgets.

Take a Sincere Interest in People Online

If you don’t like people then social networking isn’t for you. Don’t join a chat or start a blog just to sell. Be sincere and offer real tips and answer real questions. People will be impressed by your sincerity and be ready to accept a product offer from you.

Have your Link Ready

When the topic comes up that relates to your product or service then write a reply and include your link. Offer more tips, information or video that is available at that link. Forum readers will be interested in what you have to say and follow your link.

Don’t Spam the Discussion

There are lots of marketers who will send the same marketing message over and over to a group without being involved in the conversation. This is very poor social etiquette and will irritate people. You will not effectively get traffic. Even if you do it is not the right thing to do. People attend these social groups to socialize not be sold to.

Follow these tips and you will start getting quality traffic for your product or website.

Social Marketing, The New Wave Of Advertising Your Business

Posted by Lasam | Social Marketing | Friday 22 January 2010 7:40 am

Advertising your business does not have to be a chore anymore, a new wave of advertising opportunities has come upon us.

In the past, advertising your product/service/affiliate program was a hard, costly thing to do. First you would have to search the internet to find competing products to see if you had something unique, then you would have to find linking partners to get some targeted traffic to your site, then you would have to find affiliate/jv partners to send out broadcasts to there lists just so you could get noticed by a few people, people that may not even be your target market.

That seems a lot of work to go through just to get some traffic to your site and maybe get noticed to sell a few units of what you are selling.

So what if there was a new way of advertising?

What if there was a new way of advertising to a targeted audience that is actually interested in what you have to offer?

Well that is where Social Marketing comes in to play.

Social marketing has been creeping up on the few that are “in the know” and that “few in the know” have been marketing there products to thousands of people that are:

1. Targeted

2. In there thousands

3. Actualy interested

4. Looking for a solution to there problem

and

5. Ready to buy the solution to there problem

Take a look at just some of the social networking sites around the internet at the moment, look at myspace.com or youtube.com and you wil realise that these sites have millions of people looking for friends to network with.

There are sections for business, mothers, fathers, pets, money problems and the list goes on and on. Do you see the point im making here?

Social Marketing is the new wave of business advertising and your gonna see a lot more about it in the coming weeks as more and more people jump on it.

The best part about social marketing though is not that you can advertise your business to thousands of people that are looking for your solution but the best part is, its free to do it.

All you need to do is, sign up for a free account, fill out your profile with a few cool free layouts, put some links to your products, banners to your affiliate links and you have started social marketing.

Then you can start adding friends to your network that are looking for your solutions by targeting friend searches, then you can start sending out bulletins to your friends to get some interest in your solutions.

Now, this is only scratching the surface of what can be achieved with social marketing and there is a lot to go through but i think you maybe getting the point that im trying to get accross to you.

There are many social networking websites out there, that have from say, a few thousand members, right upto millions of members and you can advertise to most of them if you just take the time and learn how to do it right.

5 Reasons Why Social Marketing is a Must

Posted by Lasam | Social Marketing | Monday 28 December 2009 2:15 pm

In a Web 2.0 world, social marketing leverages your business with audio, video, and text. As an example, blogging may very well turn out to be one of the most ingenuous marketing strategies for anyone who has an online business and is willing to commit to its process.

Web 2.0 seems such an unlikely stratagem that many online marketers are still wary of using as a marketing tactic, much to their disadvantage. Statistics show that marketers who have embraced and adopted social marketing have experienced unprecedented success.

Here are three reasons why social marketing is important for your online business.

#1 Social marketing gets you the information you need

Social marketing is a popular and effective way of getting vital information that is essential to the success of your business. Social networking directories such as Netscape and Digg are increasingly gaining favor as an option for people across the globe to keep in touch with the latest happenings in their area of interest.

Want to measure your content’s effectiveness? Try posting it to a Netscape or Digg like service. Blogging and submitting to pertinent social directories is an effective way of attracting and retaining important traffic.

#2 Social marketing is an easy and affordable way of directing & keeping traffic

Unlike conventional marketing, social marketing does not involve a huge marketing team or a prohibitive budget. As an example, consider the latest blogging tools. It only takes minutes to setup a WordPress blog and promptly bookmark top directories.

All you need to do is commit to updating your blog continuously with new and significant posts. A steady stream of interesting, relevant posts is a reliable way to sustain blog interest.

#3 Social marketing helps you develop a relationship with your customers

Developing interactive relationships with customers is crucial to the success of any business. Before the advent of social marketing, most online businesses had no dependable way of reaching out to customers either to prove their qualifications or to perform market research.

Blogging’s interactivity gives online businesses the previously unavailable opportunity of earning customer’s trust and increasing the chances not just for one time and repeat sales.

#4 Social Marketing is about the quality of traffic, not the quantity

Getting a mass of traffic to your site is irrelevant if nobody stays long enough to buy or download anything. Social marketing attracts pertinent traffic, gives potential buyers the opportunity to interact with the seller and voice their preferences. And, more importantly, allows buyers to interact with a related community, giving them the advantage of collective wisdom.

#5 Search engines love Social Marketing

When you blog around keyword-rich topics you attract the ‘eye of the spider’, which is always looking out for fresh, relevant and high-quality content.

Social media marketing is only the beginning of a long relationship with the open source web. Be willing to come aboard and expand your business.
